The “Become Father Christmas” event takes place at companies of EuroSibEnergo Group
In December 2013, employees of companies forming part of EuroSibEnergo Group participated in a traditional charitable event organized by EuroSibEnergo, “Become Father Christmas”. Every year, a growing number of employees of the power companies take part in the event and become assistants of Father Christmas. It is to them that children from all over the country send postcards expressing their New Year’s wishes.
Employees of Irkutskenergo, Vostsibugol, their branches and divisions gave New Year presents to children from orphanages in the village of Khor-Tagna in the Zalarinsky District and the village of Kharat in the Ekhirit-Bulagatsky District; children’s social rehabilitation centers in the villages of Kytsigirovka and Osa, as well as in the cities of Angarsk, Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk, Bratsk and Sayansk; orphanages in Usolye-Sibirskoye and Zheleznogorsk; boarding schools for abandoned children in Cheremkhovo, Tulun and Bratsk; and to large families in Cheremkhovo.
In Divnogorsk, employees of the Krasnoyaraksya HPP organized a New Year event for children from the municipal state-funded institution “Integrated Social Service Center” and the Divnogorsky children’s social rehabilitation center. In Nizhny Novgorod, employees of Volgaenergo gave presents to children from the State Educational Institution for Orphans and Abandoned Children and from Orphanage No. 6. This year, a charitable event has been organized for the first time for the Reshetikhinsky orphanage (in the Volodarsky District). Employees of EnSer visited a boarding school for children who are deaf or hearing impaired in Miass, while “Father Christmases” from the Group’s head office paid a visit to the “Nash Dom” (“Our Home”) orphanage in Likino-Dulyovo (Orekhovo-Zuyevsky District, Moscow Region), also bringing New Year joy to them.
Vyacheslav Solomin, acting CEO of OJSC EuroSibEnergo: “The Group’s divisions have held the “Become Father Christmas” event for the third consecutive year; it takes place in all of the Company’s operating regions simultaneously. The main principle is that participation in the event is voluntary. We are glad that children received the very presents they had dreamt of and written to Father Christmas about. No-one remained indifferent: every employee did what they could to make the children’s dream come true. And I am convinced that such events make all of us kinder. Join us!”
